How to pack light for travel

One of the things I detest while traveling is moving around with heavy luggage. I love to pack light because it gives me more freedom to move around.

One of the reasons why many love to travel light is to avoid paying for luggage. This is because airlines charge fees for luggage when it exceeds their weight restrictions.

However, the challenge a lot of people have is that they don’t know how to pack light for travel. This is why, in this article, we will discuss the necessary tips on how to pack light for travel.

How to pack light for travel

1. Make a packing list

The first thing you need to do is know the essentials you’ll need for your trip. And the best way to do that is to make a packing list. This packing list will consist of items you’ll need for your trip. This way, you’ll not leave out anything while packing. After making this list, you can go through it to cut out items you are not sure you’ll need. There’s no point in packing items if you’ll not be needing them.

2. Prepare for Laundry

One of the tips on how to travel light is to do laundry during our trip. This way, you can repeat clothes, reducing the number of clothes you pack. Shorts: instead of selecting several shorts, pack the ones you can use to swim, hike and also walk around in.

Pack shirts with roll up sleeves, which you can easily choose to make their sleeve short or long as you want.

4. Pack light and easy to dry fabrics

Another thing to consider when packing for travel is the texture of the fabrics you’re packing. When packing, make sure you pack fabrics that will prevent moisture from entering your body.

Clothes made of marinol wool are great choice because they are light weight, breath well and  don’t retain odor after being used multiple times.

An example of a multipurpose shoe is running shoes. You can wear them for hiking, running and walking.
